What is the RCIF?
Washington University’s Research Computing and Informatics Facility (RCIF) is a group in the Department of Radiology. It has a Center for High-Performance Computing (CHPC). The center provides storage services, data services, and expertise with working in high computing environments. It is designed for faculty and staff who need access to high-performance computing resources and storage for large data sets.
Pre-requisites
- your WashU Key ID and password
- You will need to be connected to the WashU network either by being physically on campus or by using a WashU VPN connection.
You can now request new services by opening a Service Desk Ticket.

When signing up for a RIS compute account, mention in the comment section that you would like to be added to the Artsci condo. If you have already set your account up, email Gregory Porter (g.porter@wustl.edu) to request access.
The A&S Condo consists of a number of nodes containing
- 2 × Intel Xeon Platinum 8592+
- 64 cores / 128 threads each
- 128 cores / 256 threads total
- 1.9 GHz base, Turbo enabled
- 320 MB cache per CPU
- 20 GT/s, 350W TDP
- 16 × 64GB RDIMM DDR5-5600 (1TB of RAM)
- 16.32 TB NVMe of storage
